January 2023
On January 4, 2023, Wei Jianping, mayor of Xinxiang Municipal People’s Government, delivered the 2023 Government Work Report at the first session of the 14th People’s Congress of Xinxiang City, mentioning “focusing on promoting the construction of projects such as Yicheng Sunshine Lithium-ion Battery and Tianli Lithium Energy High Nickel Ternary Materials, and making China’s Battery Industry Capital famous.”
February 2023
On the evening of February 22, 2023, Yicheng Sunshine’s employee birthday party was successfully held under the organization of the company’s business management center. 28 “birthday stars” and company management leaders participated in the event. The whole event was rich and colorful, bringing bursts of laughter and surprises to employees. The employee birthday party not only embodies the company’s leaders’ cordial care for employees, but also demonstrates the company’s corporate culture atmosphere and the extraordinary centripetal force of employees.
On February 23, 2023, Xinxiang City held a special press conference on the achievements of economic and social development in 2022 in Fengquan District. Wang Xizhong, member of the Standing Committee of the Fengquan District Committee and Executive Deputy District Mayor, introduced the key work arrangements of Fengquan District in 2023, and mentioned “accelerating the construction of projects such as Yicheng Sunshine Phase II with an investment of 1 billion yuan to promote the continuous growth of new energy battery clusters.”

“A lithium battery coating machine belt threading component” passed the invention patent application.
May 2023
“A high-capacity and high-rate lithium-ion battery and its preparation method” passed the invention patent application.
August 2023
On August 9, 2023, Yicheng Sunshine battery products performed well at the World Battery Industry Expo and were awarded the honorary title of “Top Ten Battery Companies” by the World Battery Industry Expo Organizing Committee. The cylindrical lithium-ion battery series products exhibited were awarded the “Gold Award” due to their high energy density, mature technology and wide application range.
September 2023
On September 23, 2023, Henan Provincial Party Secretary Lou Yangsheng visited Xinxiang City for research and presided over a symposium to study and promote the construction of Zhongyuan Agricultural Valley. At the same time, he also visited Henan Yicheng Sunshine New Energy Company for research.
October 2023
In October 2023, Ye Fan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Xinxiang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, led the Bureau’s Industrial and Information Technology Section staff to Yicheng Sunshine for one-on-one precision guidance to help companies apply for high-level innovation platforms. The Municipal Science and Technology Bureau staff inspected the construction and operation of the municipal engineering technology research center on site, listened to the company’s report on R&D investment and new product development, and put forward requirements for the company to further standardize the management system of the R&D center and ensure safe operation. It encourages companies to formulate practical and feasible science and technology innovation development plans, continue to increase R&D investment, strengthen cooperation with universities and research institutes, and strive to carry out core technology research, strive for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Xinxiang, and enable high-quality development of enterprises with science and technology.
On October 10, 2023, the Xinxiang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau issued the “Notice on the Recognition of Xinxiang Municipal R&D Platforms in 2023” (Xinke [2023] No. 54), and the “Xinxiang High-end Tool Special Lithium-ion Battery Engineering Technology Research Center” built by Yicheng Sunshine was recognized as the “Xinxiang Municipal Engineering Technology Research Center in 2023”.
On October 23, 2023, Xinxiang Mayor Wei Jianping led the heads of relevant municipal departments to Fengquan District to investigate the cultivation of advanced manufacturing industry chain groups, including Henan Yicheng Sunshine New Energy Co., Ltd.
November 2023
On November 7, 2023, the Xinxiang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Xinxiang Branch of Zhongyuan Securities held a training meeting on the shareholding reform of industrial enterprises above designated size with the theme of “Joining Hands with the Capital Market to Empower Enterprise Growth”. After the training meeting, Li Tao, Deputy Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Bureau of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, led a team to organize the heads of institutions such as Zhongyuan Equity Exchange Center, Zhongyuan Securities Xinxiang Branch, CITIC Accounting Firm, and Zhongyuan Fahui Law Firm to conduct special research on the shareholding reform cultivation pool enterprises such as Qixing Brazing, Yicheng Sunshine, Zhongxin New Materials, Bashan Aviation, and Wanxin Electric, and learned in detail about the shareholding reform process, financing and training needs, and existing problems of the enterprises, and guided the enterprises to accelerate the establishment of a modern enterprise system.
On November 22, 2023, Henan Yicheng Sunshine New Energy Co., Ltd. obtained the “High-tech Enterprise Certificate”, which is valid for 3 years. The certificate was jointly issued by the Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Henan Provincial Department of Finance, and the Henan Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation.
On November 27, 2023, the five departments of Henan Development and Reform Commission, Henan Science and Technology Department, Henan Finance Department, State Administration of Taxation Henan Taxation Bureau, and Zhengzhou Customs of the People’s Republic of China jointly issued the “Notice on the Release of the List of Henan Enterprise Technology Centers in 2023 (27th Batch)” (Yu Fagai Gaoji [2023] No. 605), and Yicheng Sunshine was recognized as the “Henan Enterprise Technology Center”.
On November 28, 2023, the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the “List of Henan Innovative Small and Medium Enterprises in 2023”, and Henan Yicheng Sunshine New Energy Co., Ltd. was listed among them.
December 2023
Henan Yicheng Sunshine New Energy Co., Ltd.’s “Henan High-end Electric Tool Special Lithium-ion Battery Engineering Technology Research Center” was recognized as the “Henan Engineering Technology Research Center” by the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. Henan Yicheng Sunshine New Energy Co., Ltd. was recognized as a “Henan Specialized and New Small and Medium Enterprise” by the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
In 2024, we will continue to accept supervision from all sectors of society with a more positive work attitude and a sincere and pragmatic enthusiasm. While seizing development opportunities, completing business development and expanding the scale of the enterprise, we will continue to improve the construction of the company’s social responsibility management system, continue to explore the focus of effectively fulfilling social responsibilities, and strengthen communication and exchanges with partners and other stakeholders, so as to promote the company to better fulfill its social responsibilities and support social welfare undertakings, and achieve harmonious development between itself and the whole society.
The company hired a third-party agency to carry out carbon footprint evaluation work. The results of the carbon footprint calculation of lithium-ion batteries in 2023 are detailed in the report.
